Sammie’s practice surrounds the exploration of environmental politics and the complex relationship humans to have to their environment. Through investigating environmental philosophies, she questions the relationship between humans and our organic environment, thinking about why we have become so out of sync and why we need to stop othering ourselves to begin re-engaging with our natural surroundings, Sammie attempts to play with the boundaries of what photography can be through her fine art practice, questioning the place that the photographic arts have in the political world and how her audience may relate to her work.
